In a thrilling Robb Field contest, Santa Monica Rugby Club held off Old Mission Beach Athletic Club 30-19. The Dolphins raced out to a 15 -0 lead. But the Beach Boys touched down just before the half-time whistle. Turnovers plagued OMBAC throughout the contest, and Santa Monica took advantage. However, OMBAC continued to fight, making the score 20-19 deep into the second frame. Two late Santa Monica tries sealed OMBAC’s fate for the final tally of 30-19.

OMBAC would like to thank Santa Monica Rugby Club for the generous donation of $950 to Sal Demartino’s fundraiser. Truly this is the spirit of Rugby.

The Beach Boys are home next weekend (3/26) against crosstown rivals Old Aztecs. Kick-Off is scheduled for 2p at Robb Field.
